For the Frieze Viewing Room Los Angeles Edition, Night Gallery is pleased to present Import/Export, a presentation of works by Anthony Olubunmi Akinbola, Andrea Marie Breiling, Julia Haft-Candell, Cynthia Daignault, Ian Davis, Tau Lewis, Jasmine Little and Sterling Wells. Collectively these works engage with and confront themes of international commerce in the context of global climate crisis. Across these artists' practices we see a delight in formalist experimentation and an attention to the socially-inscribed associations of objects. At once pointed and playful, the works reinvent and reexamine quotidian imagery, reflecting a moment of societal redressal. Import/Export will be on view by appointment at the gallery as well as on the Frieze Online Viewing Room platform.
